Do you want to know the artistic treasures of Florence but at the same time you do not want to renounce the discovery of the culinary and enogastronomic aspects that distinguish the city and its territory? The visit that I propose combines the guided tour of the historic center with the opportunity to taste the local specialties, visiting some typical places that offer the products of the Florentine tradition. During our walk together with the monuments and squares of Florence we will discover the places where the Florentines themselves love to stop to eat and drink:
The 'Trippaio' is a small kiosk that you can find in different corners of the historic center, almost always crowded around lunchtime, where you can taste trippa and lampredotto: the most famous street food in Florence. Both obtained from different parts of the cow's stomach, they are boiled in salted water and can be served on a plate or more commonly in a sandwich, accompanied by tasty sauces.
Another typical Florentine shop is the 'Vinaino', the traditional old-fashioned wine shop. These tiny wine shops widely widespread in the city have now become meeting places where you can exchange a chat while drinking a glass of wine along with some appetizers or a sandwich. It's the ideal place for a quick but quality snack!
If you have more time and a more sophisticated palate, I suggest you stop in one of the many wine shops in the historic center. Here we can make a wine tasting by the glass, accompanying them to local cheeses and cold cuts. It will be an excellent opportunity to get to know the fine Chianti wines, renowned all over the world!
Another Florentine specialty is undoubtedly the gelato artigianale (homemade ice cream), produced with fresh ingredients in an incredible variety of flavors. After having 'painstakingly' tested dozens of ice-cream parlors, I finally got to know the best, where I will be happy to accompany you to make you taste the best ice cream in Florence!
