Guide Florence Tour - Tourist Guide of Florence
It is not easy, for a tour guide either, to describe in a few lines the charm of this city that each year attracts millions of visitors from all over the world.
Florence is known for its architectural and artistic treasures: the Ponte Vecchio and the Brunelleschi's Dome, the Uffizi Gallery and Michelangelo's David, just to mention some examples.
But in addition to the universally known symbols that define the identity of this tourist destination there is really much more to discover:
Florence is the colony founded by the Romans on the banks of the Arno, with its forum and the thermal baths, the theater and the amphitheater
The medieval village dotted with towers and Gothic churches, narrow alleys that were the scene of intrigues and struggles between opposing factions
The city where the greatest minds laid the foundations of Humanism and the Renaissance, leaving an indelible mark to the present day
The place where a convent can make you live the monastic spirituality of six centuries ago and a garden the lush splendor of the Medici family's court life
Florence is able to pass on their traditions through the flavors and odors perceived in the downtown streets
The charm of the 'city of the lily' also lies in its proportions and its particular landscape features: the center of Florence is easily explored on foot, walking through its streets and squares or along the river through the beautiful Lungarni (riversides). And at the same time this jewel set between the river Arno and the hills is surrounded by green countryside covered with vineyards and olive groves, coniferous forests topped with crenellated towers, mansions and picturesque villages within a few minutes with a short hike from the town.
All this is Florence, and much more!
So why should you contact an official tour guide who was born and has always lived in Florence, who loves his city to the point to turn his passion into a profession, feeling the need to share and disseminate such beauty?
If you are planning a visit to Florence I will be happy to share with you my experience, my skills and especially my passion to let you know the city from my point of view: that of a local tourist guide who loves his own territory.
